This is the spray ground equipment and water play equipment that parks departments, HOA communities, resorts and their dealers build around.

The features are 304 stainless steel and fiberglass, with spray nozzles on stainless manifolds, made by audited partner factories and inspected by our QC before loading. Water play range RP-05 carries an A part number on every feature, such as A1-006.

    A park pad usually mixes ground sprays across the open deck, spray posts and arches at mid height, and one water play structure as the focal point, with a separate toddler zone.     Changes

    If the landscape architect moves the pad or the contractor moves a drain, the features are redrawn and the mounting details reissued with the same A numbers. The layout process is described on playground layout design.

    Feature positions

    Every feature is drawn at its position on the pad with its A number, so the layout, the mounting details, the data sheets and the packing list all use the same labels.

  2. 02

    Age zones

    A toddler zone for children from 6 to 23 months and the 2–5 age group, with ground sprays and low sprayers, and an area for the 5–12 group with arches, tunnels, buckets and the water play structure. Younger children play away from the tipping buckets.

  3. 03

    Dry edge

    A around the pad for seating, parents and staff, with shade where you want it and the dry play surfacing outside the wet area.

  4. 04

    Activation bollard position

    At the pad edge, where children reach it from the pad and staff can see it.

    Drain points · your water engineer → marked by us

    Your water engineer designs the pad falls and drains. When they send us the drain positions, we mark them on the next layout revision, so feature positions and drains are checked against each other on one drawing before approval.

    The plant room position from your contractor is marked on the site plan, with the bollard wiring route back to it.

Mounting Details and Water Connection PointsAnchor Flanges, Supply Points and Activation Bollards

The design office issues a mounting detail for every feature on your pad. This is the drawing your water contractor and concrete crew build to.

Each feature gets its own mounting detail: the anchor flange cast into the concrete pad, the 304 tamper-resistant fasteners, and the marked point where its water supply connects to the base.

With the quotation come the partner factory's data sheets for each feature, so your contractor can size pumps, piping and treatment around the features you chose.

    Timing

    Mounting details are issued with the approved drawing and reach your contractor during production, and the anchor flanges and base plates go ahead by air courier, so the pad, flanges and supply lines can be built before the container arrives.

  1. 01

    Anchor flange or base plate

    Each feature fixes to an anchor flange or base plate cast into the concrete pad. The mounting detail shows the flange position on the pad grid, its orientation and its level relative to the finished deck, so ground sprays finish flush and posts stand plumb.

  2. 02

    Fasteners

    Features bolt to the flange with 304 stainless , the same fastener family as our play structures. The fasteners ship in the kit, and the security bits come in the spare hardware kit.

  3. 03

    Water connection point

    The point where each feature's water supply connects to its base is marked on the mounting detail. Your contractor runs the supply line to that point, so every feature has a known connection position before the pad is poured.

    Line sizes and fittings come from your contractor's system design and the feature data sheet.

  4. 04

    Feature data sheets

    With the quotation, the partner factory's for each feature comes to you and your water contractor. The sheet is labeled with the feature's A number, so your contractor sizes pumps, piping and treatment for the exact features on your layout.

  5. 05

    Activation bollard

    The bollard fixes to its own flange at the pad edge. Its detail marks where the cable enters the base, and the cable runs back to the controller in your contractor's plant room, which runs the spray cycles.

Data sheetThe partner factory's sheet for one feature, labeled with its A number. Your water contractor uses it to size the system around that feature.

Feature Construction304 Stainless Steel, Fiberglass and Nozzles on Stainless Manifolds

Splash pad features are built by partner factories that joined our program after a factory audit and sample approval. Inside each feature, nozzles are fixed to a stainless that distributes the water from the supply connection to every nozzle.

  • 304 stainless steel

    Spray posts, arches, rings, tunnels, bucket supports and structure frames are 304 stainless steel, the same grade as the fasteners across our play equipment. The stainless parts carry a 304 marking that our QC checks at incoming inspection.

  • Fiberglass

    Themed sprayers and fiberglass structure parts are molded by the partner factory, with surfaces and edges checked by our QC before loading.

  • Nozzles on stainless manifolds

    Each manifold distributes the water from the supply connection to every nozzle and is leak-tested at the partner factory before the feature is closed up.

  • Nozzles as wear parts

    Nozzles are the parts a site replaces. Each carries a part number, such as A1-031, so a replacement is remade to that number.

  • Tipping buckets

    Buckets are mounted on stainless supports and fill from the feature's manifold.

  • Theme

    Fiberglass shapes follow the theme you give us at the layout stage and are drawn in the 3D render before approval. Themed fiberglass pieces add cost; how that shows in a quotation is on playground equipment cost.

Climbing parts

The climbing decks on water play structures are drawn to the play-structure standard named for your project: ASTM F1487 for the USA, EN 1176 for the UK, EU and Australia.

The same checks apply as on our dry structures: head- and finger-entrapment gaps, protective barriers above set platform heights, and no protrusions or sharp edges.

Water treatment and health requirements are set by your local code and handled in your contractor's system design and permits.

Every splash pad item is inspected by our QC before it goes into your container.

Before loading, our QC checks the 304 marking on the stainless parts, the fiberglass surfaces and edges, and every feature and nozzle against your drawing. Each manifold is leak-tested at the partner factory with our QC watching.

Multi-feature water play structures are trial-assembled in our pre-assembly yard and filmed with the part numbers in frame.

Manifold leak test

Each manifold is leak-tested at the partner factory with our QC present as witness, before the feature is closed.

    The yard team stands the frame up to the installation drawing and checks every connection, bucket support and flange plate. A part that does not fit is corrected and refitted, and the QC team signs off before disassembly.

    Final packing check

    At packing, our QC checks the part list a last time, so each flange, bucket, nozzle and bollard on the list is in the crate before it closes.

    Failed items

    An item that fails any check is remade or replaced before it goes into the container, and the replacement goes through the same check.

The trial assembly is filmed like our outdoor pre-assembly, with part numbers in frame, and you can raise comments before packing. Single features are checked against the drawing: feature type, nozzle count, flange plate and A number.
